Who We Are
Since its establishment as a not-for-profit organization in 2017, Canvas has been serving the society with the vision of helping mankind. It is continuously expanding its social development service from providing direct service to enable upliftment of poor and vulnerable groups. Our focus is to provide selfless support to the marginalized section of society in terms of social position, health and education.
We have been extending our support in education to more than one thousand underprivileged children by providing them the required education kit. We have successfully conducted various health development programs for aged poor people. This includes distribution of clothes, spectacles, medicines and many more necessary items. We have also arranged cataract operation absolutely free of cost for the people in need. This makes us feel good to say that more than six hundred people have been benefited by this program.
We pledge to serve humanity in all difficult times in the best possible way. But for this noble cause, we need your support and contribution so that we can continue to do our programs successfully.
Spread The Happiness in Durga Puja
In the year 2021, we distributed clothes for the Durga Puja festival to one thousand two hundred children in the slums of Chetla, Kolkata. Also the same program had been arranged in different villages of North 24 Parganas and Belpahari at Jhargram District.
Help In Pandemic Year
In the pandemic year of 2021, we had arranged so many programs to support people who were in need. The members of Canvas conducted a clothes distribution program for more than 500 children in different villages of Hooghly on 26th January. Moreover, we had run a community kitchen for the COVID affected people and their families. Not only this, we could not stop ourselves from reaching out to the people who got affected by cyclone YASH in Sunderban.
Upcoming Plans
This gives us immense pleasure to inform you that we are going to start our own OLD AGE HOME and ORPHANAGE very soon. This will help a lot of elderly people and orphan children to have a dignified shelter for them.
